The idea is to make a curry gravy (which is like a soup) to use as the base for all your curries (that is what take-away's do).
The curry gravy is basically a big pan of boiled onions and you can chuck in some bits such a a spud, a bit of white cabbage, green pepper, a carrot etc. Boil the crap out of it and blitz it in a food processor. It is just to create the right texture.
