It?s been a huge summer

A brilliant achievement to get from 17 to 8.3 (was at 35 in April 2011), but can?t help feeling it could have been even better. Missed the cut in England U15?s by 2 after a meltdown moment cost three shots on one hole, and in other events it could have been a different story, but Dad is just being greedy.

Been selected for England squad trials next weekend (at Brockenhurst in Welwyn) but no idea what standard is required to get through there as the girls have just opened up the same selection criteria as the boys as regards progression through junior ranks.

Our home club is par 72 SSS72 as well, has a short first half with tough par fours in between par threes. The back nine is quite long so it?s a good handicap to achieve.

Good luck to your lad, get the feeling the boys is tougher than the girls to progress..
