I'd rather we got a bit of honesty out of the guy every now and then. To claim "all of the work completed earlier in the Summer" just can't be true?

We know we were inquiring about others in the wake of Bennett's injury (Troisi). I just don't see why he couldn't have said something more honest:

No incoming players for #ncfc tonight, MOST of the work completed earlier in the Summer, no one we wanted was available at the right price.

OR

No incoming players for #ncfc tonight, MOST of the work completed earlier in the Summer, will look to supplement our great squad with some quality loans next week.
