We all knew that, as the Hamilton regime progressed, sooner or later, the axe would fall.
Ditto Chase-as the mystery and intrigue and politics of his era as Chairman began to fall apart-no money for players, Walker quitting for Everton, O'Neill leaving-again, you could tell that, sooner or later, he would be forced out or he would quit, the pressure on him and the questions being asked made it inevitable and, as with Hamilton, we could look to that.
But now it seems that the status quo is very much in favour and going to be kept in place for the long term, so we just have to hope that we can muddle our way through it, which I, and so many others, currently, can't see happening.
