our defence was actually better last year than the stats make it look

a lot of the goals we conceded last season were effectively meaningless ones in thrashings which (the goals not the thrashings!) didn't cost us any points.
We conceded 1 goal or less in 25 of our 38 games, which is really pretty good, and will nearly always ensure you survice (as it did us last year, even with a pretty pathetic attack)
