Thoughts on the game last night

7 - Bunn - a couple of great saves but should have commanded his area better.

7 - Olsson - good going forward but not defending.

5 - Bennett - Poor by his standards

4 - Martin - Poor by his standards

1 - Bassong - shockingly bad. He was totally bossed by the Bury sub.

8 - Whittaker - best of the defenders and great goal.

7 - Snodgrass - he got better as the game progressed. A lot, lot better than he was against Hull.

6 - Fer - kept the ball well holding off players when it was played to his feet. However, he drifted out of the game for long spells. Great turn to score.

1 - Johnson - is really struggling. His passing isn't even near to being good enough and to make matters worse, now he isn't winning the ball. He looks to have lost a lot of confidence.

8 - Pilkington - great positing, great movement. Created chances and scored. Back to near his best. We have really missed him.

6 - Hoolahan - some awful passing, but also some great vision to create chances.

9 - Elmander - much like Holt but he looks fitter than Holt. He doesn't look as if he is here just to make up the numbers.

5 - Becchio - anonymous.

5 - Redmond - would have liked Hoots to have tried him on the right.

VERDICT: Pilks, Elmander, and Whittaker were great. They showed lots of determination. Wes tried hard but he was as good as he was bad. Fer seemed a bit too laid back at times.

The Norwich defending was shockingly bad and the central midfield was light-weight.
A very, very poor Bury team still managed to create lots of very good chances to score. I don't think they would have done so if Tettey had been playing in front of the back 4. Credit to Bury, they had a good go.
