The Hoots Out stuff is obviously a stupid overeaction but.....

as I mentioned before the season started the expectations of this season are WAY different than they were last season.

Last season we saw the pot of gold on the horizon and being debt free was part of that.
Our goal was simple. Hoots was absolutely 100% the right guy to appoint last season. I was hugely in favor of the appointment.
He was the right guy to make us more solid and more difficult to beat which he achieved by a mile.
I think we over achieved with the group we had which says a lot that his defensive tactics were correct.
Even against the bigger teams we had few spankings and mostly close games.

I do think its reasonable to consider if he is the right man to take us to the next level.
Especially when he has a very decent budget to play with.
I think he needs more time to see if he can get all the new players gelling.
We still don't have a 100% fit squad and its a bit mix and match at the moment.

Saying all that with the kind of backing he has had from the board, they need to see results on the pitch. We have to be better than last season with better quality players.
That might be a tough ask and job too far for Hoots.
I hope he proves everyone wrong.

If we are in relegation trouble in Nov-Dec I could see McNally acting swiftly.
