However you're absolutely right - these are not two games in isolation and posts like the one here (for example) contribute nothing even remotely sensible to the debate:

Do I think Hughton's goose is cooked? Don't know yet. But if he does get sacked before Christmas it will be for reasons which certainly didn't raise their head for the first time today.
