look for something made of Alloy/aluminium. Carbon fibre really pushes the price up and for the likes of us the cost doesn't outway the weight saving.

You won't need suspension but if you find on with it then fair enough but you only want front suspension.

brakes most brakes on bikes are pretty good but disc brakes are awesome.

they usually come in a huge box these days and are all assembled, although sometime the pedals are not attached.

I'm sure someone will come on here later and say what you should be getting but it's all about personal preference.

Evans Cycles don't really sell s**t bikes whereas Halfords do. I have personal experience of the s**te they sell.
