Trouble is its of his own doing

He has values for players that he won't go beyond(fair play to him on that.) but the sort of players he's looking at you can't get on the cheap.
He's now in the position of having to buy at the top end of the market to maintain their place in the champ league, mainly due to replacing sold players with players just that little bit worse than he had before.
Should have spent some of the money he supposedly had before now, he'll probably end up with deadline day panic buys.
Sometimes you have to pay what clubs are asking for to make sure you get who you're after.
