WOTB Predictions League 2013/2014 - predictions window now closed. Record participants...

A quite ridiculous 130 of us have taken up the utterly futile challenge of predicting our path through the next nine football months, including 45 new or returning players. When I first did the league six (!) there were about 50 participants, so it just goes to show the increasing quality of the prizes on offer year on year has attracted so many more bored opinionated keyboard warriors such as us.

I just need to say thanks to Old Man and AB (who also kindly donates his webspace to host the league tables) for coming up with the idea and pushing for donations to the charity that gave my Dad some extra time with us. We lost him four months ago sadly, but it would have been a lot earlier had it not been for the hospital in question. I'm not ashamed to say I've blubbed pretty much every time I've seen the messages that someone has given a little. Please don't think this is me hawking for more donations - it really, really isn't - I just felt I had to say a collective thanks to all that have.

Any way - man up - back to serious predicting s**t...

There will be five divisions of 17 people, and three divisions of 15. Players from last year will be placed in divisions based on their finishing divisional position last year. There are 10 spaces for people who have not decided to play this year, so everyone will be bumped up the divisions accordingly. For the 45 new players, they will be randomly placed in the three new bottom divisions.

I will post everyone's predictions on the website later on, as it takes a little while to process it all now.
