I'm my view

1. Knew he wouldn't play much,
2. Knew he would no longer be top dog,
3. Knows he can boss the champ.
4. Money probably about the same.
5. Placate his wife who was clearly unable to cope with the hardship of being a millionaire footballers wife in Norfolk.

Ok he may not have loved Hughton's tactics but he was trying to leave before Hughton was appointed and would have done had Mcnally not basically priced him
out of a move.
