I can't imagine the Nook being that great as a tablet fwiw

Completely fine e-reader range, but I can't imagine they have a good screen or anything. Best thing I can say is to at least get one with a decent screen. Cheap laptops/tablets with s**tty screens are annoying because you have to look at them straight on as anything else ruins the contrast/colours etc.
