You're as well to buy them new (no real saving 2nd hand)

Canon 50mm/Nikon 35mm (assuming you went for one of those systems.

If you know of a trustworthy camera shop then secondhand with a short warranty wouldn't be too bad.

That said, decent glass is usually expensive.

Those 2 normal primes mentioned above are as cheap and good value as they come.

They'll also help you get a lot more out of the photos you take (once you learn to zoom with your feet)
