Yes, actually they had been pretty nasty with the Hazel situation from what I've heard about it. I'm just thinking back to the Emma/Victor/Jason situation from BB5 which got particularly vicious, they put housemates in genuine danger for the sake of ratings. It all went downhill for me from there.
