Sturridge did ok on loan as an unproven kid

As did Lukaku last season (less of a kid though I suppose) same with Welbeck at Sunderland etc etc

Also, didn't Man United even farm out Beckham for a spot of loanage at PNE when their current manager (Mr Moyes) was also playing for them, I seem to recall.

Admittedly some loans are not going to come off, but a fair few (especially from the top sides) sometimes do.

Could do worse
