After many a late night staying up to watch dodgy streams and listen to crackly radios on the other side of the earth, I sat in my old seat early and watched the day go by. Obviously not quite as atmospheric nor dramatic as a competitive match, but when you don't get to go often, after having gone every week, religiously throughout my adolescence and young adulthood, it really strikes home - even made me feel sad to be heading back to China next week. I saw a lot of familiar faces in the barclay and around the ground, especially the steward in E Block who has been around for years and years, complaining that he wants to work another block so he can get to see more of the game instead of telling people to sit down, but is still there nonetheless. It really made me proud to be a Norwich fan and know just what loyal fans we have who come back year after year and if I could, I would too. Got me thinking about moving back from China once my contract is up, its an amazing club we are all a part of and if you forget that, take a step back and look again from my perspective.
Walked around the city this morning before the game and had a few drinks with old faces afterwards, thoroughly enjoyed myself and am sad to leave it again tonight.
I really hope we have an amazing season, come on you yellows, on the ball city! I'll be back on Wrath from the other side of the world next Saturday.
Keep on, keeping on.
