The old adage, build your team around a strong "spine" of GK-CD-CF rings true, though worringly misses out any reference to midfield-so Worthy must subscribe to it, anyway...

Assuming GK=Green, CD=Shackell (again, assuming he develops in to the kind of player we are all hoping he will) and CF=Ashton, I'd have them as a frame, hope that we get (again assuming, this time they are the quality players that is widely believed and said) Wright and Etuhu permanently, then we have the beginnings of a strong first XI.

Anyway, in that case-Green, Wright, Shackell, Etuhu, Ashton.

...and go from there.
