re annoying radio interviewees starting a sentence with "So"

An individual on R5L "Wake Up To Money" started every single answer with it, I was inwardly screaming at the radio. I am beginning to wonder if the BBC researcher who rings them in advance of the interview gives them a list of questions that they will be asked.
