I thought Whittaker looked keen and hungry, got forward well a few times as well as good defensive cover - though shame on a couple of occasions it was to mop up his own mistakes. Turner also looked like the reincarnated version from last year. Olssen, I thought also impressed whereas Garrido looked a bit off the pace, although to be fair he was only on for a short time. Would echo the comments about Johnson - I thought he also looked off the pace and Snodders took a bit of time to get into it. RvW worries me, seems to need it on a plate - RVP's languid style, but without his goalmouth trickery. As was said last night, if he is nailed on to start as our 1 up front, they will need to sort out delivery and link up to him. Hooper had too short a run, but he looks to have more Holt like qualities than RvW when it comes to bullying defenders ..... Overall many positives, had spells where we kept possession well and also broke rapidly on a few occasions but need to close down more and back off less.
