Of the (literally) thousands of cyclists I must have seen during the day, I noticed one without a helmet (and it was very noticeable). (She was also quite fit...)

Are you sure the pic was from the 100 mile ride on Sunday, and not the family / city centre stuff the day before? Might have been fewer helmets that day.
