Still in Rhyl, still working in Chester

Though I'm becoming very familiar with the journey to Dorset.

Well good luck with the move and I hope everything goes exactly right for you, mate, you'll be missed. Me, I dunno where life's about to take me. I've told my gaffer that I plan to leave in January, and he gave me a pay rise - which I accepted, natch, but told him it hadn't changed my mind. So he says he's going to see if he can come up with something else to make me stay. Which is all very nice, makes you feel wanted and that, but doesn't actually address the fact that I'm kind of standing still.

But I don't really know what to do next. I've enjoyed working in a factory but can't help thinking that if I want to start earning again I'm going to have to get back into suit and tie: and from talking to folk I get the impression that most office jobs nowadays seem to consist of a lot of Agreeing With the Computer, which doesn't sound like fun to me.

Hopefully I'm wrong - but either way, I have a choice between more-of-the-same or throwing everything up in the air again...... and I'm getting a bit old for that kind of thing.

Good luck, like I said mate. Love to the missus, regards to the boys........
