I think the jury is still out on Vaughan, Morison in his first season scored more goals

than:

Long, Walcott, Berbatov, Sessegnon, Torres, Cisse, Moses, Drogba, Carrol, Gerviniho, Tevez, Zamora, Bellamy, Di Santo, Bendtner etc

Hooper is a gamble, as is any player joining a new team, even those from an established Prem side with a good goal scoring record. He also didn't cost us as much as he would have done 6 months before.
