So I'll run 2, based on how much effort people are willing to make....
You can either play in a version kinda similar to Lee's, where you literally predict a Home Win, Away Win or Draw, with no actual scores, or....
You can predict all the scores too, and take on the greater of the two challenges.
Game 1: Like Lee's I think this is best split into 3, especially given the larger number of games to predict: Scoring will be as follows:
Correct Prediction (HW Predicted, Outcome = Homewin = 3pts
Incorrect Minor (Predict a home/away win, Outcome = Draw, Predict a draw, Outcome = home/away win) = 0pts
Incorrect Major (Predict Home Win, Outcome = Away Win) = -1pts.
If enough are interested I'll do leagues like Lee's, with the first 1/3 of the season determining people's league division from there on. Each 1/3 season, like Lee's, will lead to promotion and relegation amongst the leagues.
Game 2: Predicting actual scores of the games. League will again be split into 3 across the season.
Points as follows:
Spot on prediction (Predicton 2-0, result 2-0) = 5pts.
Correct outcome, 1 correct score( Ie, outcome is correct and you correctly predict number of goals one team scores (Predict 2-0, outcome = 2-1) 3 points.
Correct outcome only (Predict correct winner, draw, but with goals scored for both teams wrong).
For every goal you're out for each team you'll lose 1 goal difference, for every 5 GD you lose you lose 1 point from your total points. Sounds complicated, but promise it isn't. I run this at work and it works well.
Anyone interested please let me know. The fixtures are all drafted up in Excel and ready to go. If interested do a PM: CityForLife with your email address and I'll email them out to you :)
Hope to see some of you sign up. In no way am I trying to tread on Lee's toes here, as I always take part in his game too, I'm just massively competitive and like creating games etc in Excel too.
