This is true

I am a shareholder, there is no market should I wish to sell my shares on (I don't), there is no dividend (I wasn't expecting one) - I very much view the purchase as a gift to the club at a time when the club badly needed all the help it could get.

Equally if I'm honest I don't feel that exercised about the membership thing - I don't think the club needs to feel beholden to me, I was happy to contribute and in the same circumstances would do so again. I do understand why some do though.
