You really need to be asking someone else, mate, my DIY is shocking
For the ceiling, I'd go up in the loft and move the lagging etc and see what I'm looking down at. For downstairs ceilings, go upstairs and lift a board. Walls, without making a hole, I don't know. If it were me, I'd ask the neighbours what theirs are.
