I've been thinking about tactics. Someone shoot down this idea please?

While so many Prem sides are tending towards playing one up front, it seems a tad limiting to play four across the back. How about playing only two at the back, plus a deep-lying CM, and pushing the FBs up just behind the midfield, allowing a sort of 2-1-5-2 formation, like this:

.......................Ruddy

............Turner...........Bassong

......................Johnson

Martin...........................................Olsson

.............Fer.........Howson......Pilks

.............Wessi............Ricky

I've gone for Olsson over Garry as I think he's quicker, and in fact Cafu might not be quick enough for the demands of the position. There'd be an obvious opportunity for the oppo to play the ball in behind the FBs. It just seems a good way of getting men forward more quickly without sacrificing defensive strength, and having lots of bodies in midfield to stifle the likelihood of the ball getting behind the FBS.

You couldn't play it against everyone, obviously.
