Thing is it will do much more than block "porn"

What about websites like Reddit? Has sections for banalities such as fluffy kitten photos, discussing politics and even celebrity/VIP interviews (such as Barack Obama), but also has adult oriented sections. Will they block just the adult pages, the whole site, or nothing at all?
