Holland, when people asked me where I was from in England I told them Norwich. "Norwich city!" Came the reply every time. "Jeremy goss, Chris Sutton!"

From around 1998 the reply was "never heard of it". And I'd have to explain geographically.

Tonight I had the same question from a Chinese waiter, then an hour later from a Spanish waitress. "Norwich" I said. "Ah, Norwich city! Van wolfswinkel!" Came the replies.
