I was reading some angry board posts from Celtic fans about our "now or never" offer. But I can't help feeling they have treated the lad a little badly.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) has always had us as his first choice ( yes I'm sure if top 6 club came in he'd change that ), his family are from Essex and he always knew Norwich rated him which must have made him feel wanted. Norwich bid way over the odds in January and he out if respect for Celtic says nothing despite rumours he wanted to come. He then finishes out his year as Celtic turned our offer down and waited till summer. Then now after grant holt leaves us and his first choice club come calling again meaning he wiuld be certainly first choice strike partner for Wolfy, and Celtic knowing this try to get us into a bidding war with bloody qpr who are a s**te and b hooper doesn't want to play for them he wants to move to us but have bags of cash and will push the price up.
He's got one year left and then he could walk for nothing and it seems he'd rather do that that sell himself out to next years over priced championship whipping boys.
Celtic in the process may have alienated their best player and missed out on a very good deal fur both player and club
