The way I describe Cabin in th Woods is like this:

if all the teenagers-slaughtered-in-the-woods-films are on the line right in front of your face and Tucker & Dale vs Evil is at the tip of your outstretched left scarecrow hand, then, Cabin is on the tip of your oustretched right scarecrow hand.
