Am I the only one who hopes it is just the finer contract details that need sorting?

We aren't signing Cody McDonald again who would probably accept the first offer we put on the table. We are signing a guy who could probably get a better offer somewhere, either at another club in England or with Twente. He has a lot of potential and I'm guessing there will be certain bonuses and increases he wants in his contract relating to performances and our future success. The bigger we get and the higher profile the players we try to sign, the longer negotiations will probably take.
