Time to dip into font of knowledge that is the wotb

thinking about upgrading my Spotify account to premium so i can have some sounds on the move

Can someone who has this service confirm something for me ,if i sync my phone with a playlist i download or make if i listen to it on my phone away from my home then i will not actually be downloading the song i am listening to and so not using any data unless i select a song not on the playlist i am listening to

Have i understood it correctly
