New Desktop computer required for my father in law

Comrades...I'm heading over to the UK for 2 weeks at the beginning of August and my father in law's Desktop computer is on its last legs. I've been trying to keep it going via LogMeIn from Dubai but we've all agreed that a new one is required. Not being familiar with what to buy or where to buy "off the shelf" can anyone recommend a good deal that can be delivered ready for when I'm over.
He Surfs the Web, Emails, Listens to streamed music, and has a digital camera. I thank you all for pooling your immense knowledge and saving me from my 2 weeks spent looking for the right PC. Highlight will be visiting the fine City to see us beat Everton (who my boss supports :)
