But Dwight Gayle for ?6.5m vs. RvW for ?2m more tells it's own story. Clubs like us and Swansea, built around that core of British talent, simply cannot afford to continue to do so.

Doesn't help that the players that do well get hoovered up to rot on the bench at 'bigger' clubs.
