I don't want to depress you as you'll probably get her back, but mine forced a window open, got out on a very rare sub-zero night (there's probably 2 or 3 each year) when it was pissing with rain, somehow got down to ground level from 6 floors up without being injured and then died of exposure during the next few days.
Poor little bastard was 90% deaf so didn't hear me calling as I searched at all hours all week.

The posters eventually worked. Just too late unfortunately
