Saw him a few times in the Gunn Club when he was man of the match

Extremely shy, could hardly string a sentence together, but that may have been nerves.

I was on the same train as him when he went to Wigan. He was picked up at the station in an extremely old and battered red Datsun cherry.

Great player for us though.
