Don't you miss the days when we knew next to nothing about our signings?

Maybe there would be a rumour on page 312 on Ceefax, but nothing like the level of information we get now, and for me it was a lot more exciting that way. I love Twitter, but it's made the close season excruciatingly dull syndication of a constant stream of half-truths and bulls**t. As for bookies, as far as I can tell they're just accepting bets on people's reading of this stream of BS.
