Ferkin worrying

Normally lurk but just found something slightly worrying about Fer which I thought I'd share. Was looking at his Dutch Wikipedia page as his career history seems to stop prior to his move to FC Twente on the English version and found a link to this story:

Allegedly this was why his move to Everton fell through. Dunno what has happened about this since though?
