The fact he is English makes him attractive to the 'foreign' clubs

Having an English back-up keeper on the bench is an easy way to get a home player in the squad and Chelsea won't think twice about spending a massive wodge on a player just for this reason.

Having said that don't think Ruddy wants to go and sit on the bench but I guess ?2.5m+ a year might help him decide.
