He's got potential, but had a big setback

The Barnsley fans I know (who are otherwise quite rational) absolutely rave about him. He was looking outstanding and developing on an upward trajectory, then got crocked. We took a gamble on him, when other bigger clubs that were after him held back.
Needs a proper pre-season before CH can judge him. He's got skill and strength, and he could do a job for us, but he's unlikely to start any time soon.
Will probably be loaned out again.
