He was prepared to make the same sacrifices to play football for much worse teams than us who have not benefitted him in the way we have. That's what footballers do and how it works. I get that but then he should also not be surprised that fans don't like their captain putting in a transfer request, acting like a sulky kid and then being sh*t for much of the following season only to then start agitating for a move again at the first sign of a bit of competition.

If it was ever about family or sacrifices he certainly would not be interested in a move to Crystal Palace.
