Morning Wrothers. I'm inexplicably unwell, and in the process of getting myself sorted.

Does anyone recognise these symptoms?

Before I begin, I should say that my GP has had a listen and pronounced my chest, lungs and heart are fine, and an X-ray also says there's nothing wrong. The next step is an appt with a triage nurse - that'll be the GP in the room next to my own - but that's not for a fortnight.

Current symptoms: if I walk about at my usual pace I become racked with pains that begin in my armpits, moving up to my shoulders and then across my back. When they're at their worst they kind of meet across the top of my teeth. At no point do I feel ill or sickly, it's just pain, and it goes away in a minute or two. It's not agony, but on a line that starts with Discomfort and ends with Agony, I'd say it's a little more than halfway. having said that, last week I did have to do something at a fair clip and the spasms first doubled me up and then sat me on my heels. People were alarmed.

I get similar symptoms if I exert myself, e.g. lifting something moderately heavy. So I've been avoiding exertion - not easy in a leadworks - and I've been walking more slowly, and I've found that doing this means I don't get the pain spasms but instead I burp lengthily and noisily until I've stopped walking.

It's sommat to do with my digestion, I reckon. To back up that suggestion, I've found that Rennies and Gaviscon take the pain away quicker and better than painkillers. Anyone had anything like this?

I'm not fretting, it's just a bit limiting. Someone said i ought to just go and wait at A&E, but I said no, because it's neither accident nor emergency, more an ongoing massive pain in the arse.
