Didn't those figures refer to the amount spent on wages as a percentage of turnover

Rather than just the amount spent on wages? Don't think we were the actual lowest spenders.

Unless I've missed it were they also not for the previous season under Lambert? I'd imagine that figure changed further last season with several players signing new deals and established Prem players like Seb and Turner coming in.
