Well I haven't met him

but I quit watching Buzzcocks when I realised one day that I strongly disliked all three regulars, who at the time were Jupitus, Lamarr and Sean hughes. All three came across as truly and deeply fascinated by themselves despite not being funny, pretty much at all.

And yet I still watch Top Gear when it's on.

Oh, and I thought he was crap when he was a poet, too. Jupitus, I mean. I stopped watching QI when he became a regular participant, too. Make a weak gag, then do a little mime of it. Every time. Lazy. Get off my bloody telly.
