If you look at his stats earlier in his career at a low level, he doesn't really do anything until he goes to Scunthorpe, which isn't exactly the pinnacle of the football hierarchy.
I'd say going to Celtic was a sideways step in terms of the quality he's up against, but he now has better players around him to create more chances so he's become more prolific but at a similar level.
I just feel (if we sign him) he will need to make a quick start or it might not happen for him at all.
Having said all the above, RVW, Holt, Toivonen and Hooper would certainly be a decent front line compared to what we had last season, but Hooper is the one I'm least enamoured with the thought of.
