Would need to be very very high capacity - many thousands of concurrent users within the space of a couple of hundred yards.

Slapping a few standard wifi access points around the stands isn't going to cut the mustard. Even slapping a lot of standard wifi access points around the ground wouldn't be sufficient. Too many people.
