What undermines my marriage...

...is the general upness of the toilet seat/lid after I've used it in the middle of the night, and my wife's apparent belief that "NESW" on a map refer to "nowhere, everywhere, somewhere, wherever".

I simply can't fathom how two other people who want to make the same commitment we did (some decades ago now) affects me or my marriage remotely, or why other people shouldn't have the same opportunity to make the same commitment to each other we did.

It's not one of those "I disagree with the other side" things. I genuinely and very simply do not understand why anyone would oppose gay marriage. I just don't get it.
