Not really

If somebody like Laudrup became available it would be difficult to not go for him if we were still playing dull football and trudging along while failing badly in the cups.

My point is that Hughton's a solid appointment, but with the potential this club has we could do far better.

As for molding tactics and personnel? Hughton had a ready made squad last summer but f**ked about with it by unnecessarily changing the tactics. You could say that tinkering with the management is no more ridiculous than tinkering with successful tactics, yet most people on here have embraced it.

Agreed that no one is guaranteed to do better, but is there any guarantee that we will do well next season? Many people seem to suggest that Lambert would have struggled this season, or has the argument changed because it doesn't suite this argument? I don't know, not saying you're saying that, just seems to be an inconsistent mind set with the strongly pro Hughton posters on here.
