Would be interested to know if it's anything to do with the general cheap way of getting

stars out of Africa

It's often remarked how much of a bargain players are coming out of Belgian football (Kolo Toure for 500k etc)

But the more sinister element to that is the 100's-1000's of African players who dream of making it to the prem, who are brought over for trials at big European clubs, and then are tossed onto the scrapheap if not taken on

It's been a lot of them wash up in Belgian or lesser leagues in Europe because they have some talent in the first place, but they've just been badly managed

It makes me wonder if a generation of these poor human rights, has benefitted a nation with various levels of declared or dual nationality
